LifeShare, 3rd Cohort of Community Moderator Program Opens on May 1

People Who Create Connection in an Age of Isolation

It’s an era where the reasons to meet people keep shrinking. But ironically, the voices complaining about loneliness and feelings of isolation are growing instead. In 2024, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared loneliness a “modern global public health crisis.” In Korea as well, the share of single-person households has surpassed 35% of all households, and “relational poverty” has emerged as a major social topic.

The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) named “Belonging Economy” one of the key themes for the wellness industry in 2025. The one area that AI cannot replace—true resonance between human and human—means communities are becoming a core asset in both business and life.

What Is a Community Moderator?

A moderator is someone who senses participants’ emotions and states within a community and helps facilitate the right kind of communication. While a host follows a set order, a moderator creates an environment where the conversation can move from the surface to deeper levels. Observation, curiosity, questions, and empathy are the key tools.

LifeShare, a wellness education platform, defines this as “Dialogue Meditation.” By applying mindfulness-based awareness to dialogue leadership, it delivers programs to major companies in Korea, including Hyundai Motor and Samsung SDI.

The 3rd Cohort Moderator Program: How It’s Structured

This 3rd cohort of Moderator Essentials begins by creating a “listening body” through physical training such as dance meditation and somatics. Small-group practice follows using dialogue cards developed by LifeShare, along with training your sense of connection through breath and the body. After completion, you’ll also have the opportunity to work as a business partner of LifeShare or as a leader for an internal community called “Diving Club.”

Notably, with the end of this 3rd cohort, the basic and advanced integration program is expected to be discontinued—so for those who want deep learning, this is expected to be a final chance.

This is an ideal program for anyone who wants to improve the quality of their conversations, including meditation guides, coaches, corporate HR professionals, reading group organizers, and people preparing to launch a community.

A great community doesn’t get built on its own.

Only when there is a moderator who truly understands people and can tune that energy does the community come alive.
