June 16, 2026 -- Arc, an AI medical device company, said on June 16 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Daewoong Pharmaceutical at the company’s headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for business cooperation on resident health management services for the wellness residential complex-based healthcare lounge ‘Sanvel (SANVEL).’
The agreement was designed to support healthy aging among senior groups in response to an ultra-aged society. The two companies plan to work together to promote tailored health management services focused on ‘prevention,’ blocking diseases in everyday life in advance, rather than the existing medical paradigm that merely ‘treats’ illness. The companies expect the effort to make a positive contribution to easing the financial burden of the national health insurance system caused by population aging.
In particular, Arc’s ‘Sanvel (SANVEL)’ offers an innovative advantage that helps residents enjoy healthcare services at the level of a premium senior residence through AI technology within the general apartment complex where they already live.
Specifically, the two companies agreed to cooperate across the board on △ supplying senior-customized health functional foods △ providing chronic disease management solution services △ connecting and using digital healthcare data △ developing AI-based prevention programs.
Arc will oversee end-to-end planning and operation of the Sanvel platform and lounge service products, as well as sales and marketing, while Daewoong Pharmaceutical will support residents’ everyday prevention medicine by supplying verified health functional foods and chronic disease solutions.
Sanvel is the healthcare lounge based on premium residential complexes that Arc is rolling out. Within residential space, it measures various health indicators such as autonomic nervous system (HRV), blood pressure, blood sugar, muscle strength, electrocardiogram (ECG), and body composition, and provides precision health management services based on AI data. It also operates a Recovery Zone composed of a high-pressure oxygen chamber and high-frequency deep hyperthermia treatment equipment, presenting an integrated solution that covers everything from health screening for senior residents to recovery and continued prevention management.
Arc has already signed an MOU this March with Posco E&C for cooperation on the ‘AI Premium Healthcare Lounge Sanvel,’ and has been continuously expanding services for residents of premium apartment complexes such as ‘Otier’ and ‘The Sharp (THE SHARP),’ leading the residential healthcare market.
Arc said the agreement is meaningful because it concretely develops an AI-based senior home care model that spans ‘prevention’ to ‘daily management’ within living spaces. Arc stressed that it will work to make Sanvel a new standard for senior residential wellness in South Korea so that older adults can spend their later years with peace of mind in their familiar apartments they already live in, not in nursing homes.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical said it is meaningful to partner with Arc in a new area of residential complex healthcare, adding that it will support all of Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s know-how so it can contribute to disease prevention among residents and a healthy daily life.
