An indoor sports festival combining running, fitness, performances, Seon meditation and temple cuisine will be held this winter at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi province. KINTEX said Dec. 1 that it will host BEATEMPO KOREA 2026 X F45, a hybrid sports festival, for the first time with global fitness brand F45 Korea. The three-day event will run from Dec. 25 to 27 in Halls 7 and 8 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 2.
Multidisciplinary sports MICE event to fill 22,000-square-meter indoor exhibition space
The event will cover about 22,000 square meters. KINTEX described it as South Korea's first multidisciplinary sports MICE event to combine sports content with experiences, exhibitions and performances. Organizers are highlighting the fact that the indoor venue will allow running and exercise programs to operate without being affected by winter weather or temperatures. The Report said meeting rooms will also be used as event space in addition to Halls 7 and 8.
The name BEATEMPO combines “beat” and “tempo.” The program consists of four formats that add EDM music and lighting to exercise.

Exercise programs span functional training, indoor running and nighttime performances
BEATEMPO 180 x PEAK 500 is a 45-minute functional training program. Participants can compete individually, in pairs or in relay format, and organizers said it is designed to burn up to 800 calories.
BEATEMPO 150 RUN will feature 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer indoor running races. A night fun run combining music and lighting will also be offered. The nighttime program ANTIDOTE will feature artist performances and community gatherings. F45's FS8 Pilates program will operate throughout the event.
BEATEMPO 110 BREATHE with the Jogye Order's Central Headquarters for Seon Meditation
The program drawing attention in the meditation and wellness category is BEATEMPO 110 BREATHE. Developed with the Jogye Order's Central Headquarters for Seon Meditation, it is a Seon meditation wellness program designed to help participants recover after exercise. It includes food therapy, breath meditation, sound meditation and yoga.
Functional training, running, performances and Seon meditation are arranged as four parallel pillars of the event. Organizers said they aim to address both physical recovery and mental rest by scheduling meditation focused on breathing and sound after intense exercise. Detailed schedules for each program have not yet been released.
Venerable Sunjae and Venerable Jeonggwan to lead temple-food therapy
Temple-food masters Venerable Sunjae and Venerable Jeonggwan will take part in the food therapy program. Sunjae became known to the public through Netflix's “Culinary Class Wars,” while Jeonggwan appeared on Netflix's “Chef's Table.” The two Buddhist monks are expected to present a program combining food, meditation and wellness.
The exhibition area will also feature a Buddhist goods pop-up zone showcasing Buddhist cultural products.

Recovery wellness zone to feature spa buses and ice plunges
A separate space will be dedicated to recovery. The recovery wellness zone will offer spa buses, ice plunges and massage programs. An F&B zone sponsored by Coca-Cola and photo zones built around various concepts will also be available.
Participants will receive welcome kits and prizes. Sponsors include Coca-Cola, Bose Korea, Fila Korea, Neuldam, Ganong Bio, Balboa Kitchen, Sweatife and Araum. The first 100 running participants to arrive at the venue will be able to try Fila Korea running shoes and Bose Korea's latest earbuds.
KINTEX plans to develop event into an original content IP
KINTEX plans to develop the event into its own content IP rather than make it a one-time event. The concept is to expand the exhibition center beyond a venue for exhibitions and trade shows and turn it into a space for sports, culture and wellness content.
Lee Min-woo, CEO of KINTEX, called BEATEMPO KOREA “an example of KINTEX advancing as a platform connecting industry, the region and lifestyle.” He also said KINTEX plans to work with global brands to secure distinctive content IP and develop it into a sustainable growth model that benefits the local economy.
Tickets will go on sale at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 through CJ OnStyle's mobile live-commerce platform. Prices and participation requirements for each program are available on the event's official website.
