2025 Meet Mind Meditation Conference to be Held in Seoul in September, Leading Wellness Trends with Free Participation
Hosted by Won Buddhism, this is the 3rd event… Keynote speech by Yoo Jeong-eun, CEO of the first domestic meditation app 'Mabo'
As interest in mental health and wellness among modern people rises, the representative domestic meditation conference '2025 Meet Mind' has been announced to take place on September 27 in Seoul.
This event, co-hosted by the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of the Won Buddhism Headquarters and the Won Buddhism Meditation Counseling Association, will be held at the Won Buddhism So Tae-san Memorial Hall in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Since its inception in 2023, the Meet Mind Conference aims to enhance the mental health of modern individuals through meditation and mindfulness, marking its 3rd year this year.
Leading the Popularization of Meditation with Free Participation
The most notable feature of the 2025 Meet Mind Conference is that participation is free. The organizers stated, "To share the tranquility of meditation with more people," they will not charge a separate participation fee.
As the wellness industry rapidly grows, there is increasing social interest in 'wellness', an active state of health that enhances quality of life beyond the absence of disease.
There is a rising need for proactive self-care in physical, mental, and emotional aspects as individuals choose and practice healthy habits.
Keynote Speech by Yoo Jeong-eun, Developer of the First Domestic Meditation App, and Various Programs
At this conference, Yoo Jeong-eun, CEO of the first mindfulness meditation app 'Mabo' (short for 'Mind Viewing'), will deliver the keynote speech.
Yoo Jeong-eun will present a lecture on the theme 'Meeting the Grand Mountain Within Me'.
Meet Mind 2025 will offer various programs that go beyond theoretical lectures to provide practical experiences.
Participants will experience the world of moving meditation through a Tai Chi experience led by Um Gi-young, the head of Bright Light Tai Chi, and have a healing time through art therapy led by Moon Hyun-seok, CEO of the Mind Research Institute O.
In particular, the AI meditation experience conducted by Professor Lee Jeong-min of the Korea National University of Arts is gaining attention as an innovative program that combines advanced technology with traditional meditation methods.

Discovering Customized Meditation Methods for Enhancing Resilience
The core goal of this conference is to help participants develop 'resilience', the ability to effectively overcome adversity or crisis situations and recover to a better state.
It will provide opportunities to discover meditation methods suitable for each participant and learn practices that can be implemented in daily life.
This aims to broaden the cognitive perspectives of modern individuals and enhance their coping abilities in stressful situations, going beyond simple relaxation.
The Social Role of Won Buddhism and the Spread of Meditation Culture
This conference hosted by Won Buddhism is evaluated as a case where traditional religion actively addresses mental health issues in modern society.
By disseminating meditation methods based on scientific evidence while excluding religious connotations, the goal is to allow more people to benefit from meditation.
In particular, in line with the trend of the MZ generation embracing meditation as a part of their lifestyle, it is spreading meditation culture through modern and scientific approaches rather than traditional religious methods.
