Caviar, K-Beauty and Music: Bukchon Morning Rave vol.21 Set for Aug. 22
Instead of alcohol and late nights, a new morning culture that lets you start your day healthily with music and dancing, coffee and K-Beauty will take over Bukchon in Seoul.
‘Bukchon*Morning Rave (Bukchon Morning Rave) vol.21,’ hosted together by KAHI YLESS and the wellness music project PROJECT120130, will be held at KAHI YLESS Bukchon on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m..
Bukchon Morning Rave shifts the existing party culture centered on nights and drinking into morning hours, expanding it into a program that turns music and movement into everyday wellness experiences. Centered on music and dancing, it combines coffee and food, K-Beauty and community to offer a new lifestyle that helps people naturally move their bodies without alcohol, connect and interact with others, and start the day energetically.
In particular, PROJECT120130, which plans the event, is a project that links music and wellness by focusing on the energy delivered by rhythms and movement at 120–130 BPM. It looks at music not as content to simply listen to, but as a wellness experience where you move your body, shift your mood and connect with people.
This vol.21 also runs with free admission, so you can experience not only music but also a morning menu using caviar, coffee and K-Beauty programs—all in one place.
8 a.m., waking up your body and senses with music
At this event, DJ MINJI, DISCO REVOLUTION and CHAE will take part to fill Bukchon’s morning with different music from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
At 8 a.m., the event’s resident DJ MINJI opens the doors. She will present a seamless set that flows naturally, crossing genres such as House, Tech House, Disco, Pop, Reggae and Brazilian Funk, and matching the venue’s vibe and the energy of each moment.
DJ MINJI has lived in multiple cities, including Brazil, the United Kingdom, Italy, New York, Ibiza, Lisbon and Berlin, and traveled to more than 65 countries to experience a wide range of music and cultures firsthand. In addition, inspirations she gathered from party scenes across the globe—including Toolum, Serbia, Jamaica, Nigeria, Tunisia, Israel and Lebanon—have naturally blended into her own sound and energy. The music she creates freely crosses genre boundaries from House and Tech House to Disco, Pop, Reggae and Brazilian Funk. What sets it apart is that it presents an organic set focused less on genres and more on the venue’s atmosphere and the energy of the moment.
Starting at 8:40 a.m., a special B2B set by DISCO REVOLUTION follows. DISCO REVOLUTION is a project featuring DJ Jinwook and Radio Revolution, who have worked for a long time in Korea’s underground music scene, combining the soul of disco with the pulse of modern electronic sounds. With the motto of “freedom, expression and inclusion on the dance floor,” it connects generations and people through music.
Finally, at 9:40 a.m., Antidote’s resident DJ CHAE will take the stage. She has participated in major venues such as Boiler Room Seoul and The Air House, as well as in various global brand and cultural projects, and is active around the world, including across Europe, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Tokyo and Osaka.
Speakers and silent disco—morning workouts enjoyed your way
Bukchon Morning Rave is made up of two sound environments so participants can enjoy music and movement according to their tastes and conditions.
In the backstage four-speaker zone behind the DJ, you can feel the venue’s vivid sound and the energy of the dance floor directly without headphones.
At the same time, in the silent disco zone, you wear wireless headphones and can enjoy the DJ set with deeper immersion. Headphones are available for free on site.
Another wellness approach that Bukchon Morning Rave aims for is that there is no set way to participate—some people dance actively, while others sip coffee and move their bodies lightly, joining in to their own rhythm.
A wellness experience connecting music, taste and beauty
At this event, there will also be a program that lets you experience food and K-Beauty together, not just music.
Participants will be provided for free with caviar mango yogurt and caviar cake, along with coffee and finger food. Personal color and point makeup demonstrations will also be held on a first-come, first-served basis on site.
If you purchase three or more items on the day of the event, you can buy all items at a 50% discount.
An event also will be held in which you regram the official poster to your Instagram story. Among participants, five winners will be selected at random to receive the new product ‘Gah-Yi Caviar PDRN EGF Ampoule’ (worth 145,000 won per unit).
The regram event is open for participation until 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, and the winners will be announced via DM at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the event, Aug. 22. Winners can pick up the products on site.
Saturday morning dance without alcohol—building a new wellness community
In recent years, the scope of wellness has been expanding beyond exercise and diet into everyday experiences such as music, culture and community.
Bukchon Morning Rave also starts from the idea that it is not about “activities you have to do for your health,” but that the fun experience of listening to and dancing to the music you love can naturally lead to movement and connections between people.
You can enjoy music and dancing even without alcohol or late nights. And even if you’re dressed in workout clothes and don’t do a set workout, you can move freely to the music.
By connecting morning coffee and food, K-Beauty, music and the people who dance together into a single experience, Bukchon Morning Rave aims to create Seoul’s new wellness culture and an early-morning style community.
The event will be held with free admission and requires advance registration. Registration is possible until 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, and if the number of applicants exceeds the limit, registration may close early. Participants who complete the Google Form can enter on the day of the event after their names are checked, without separate individual confirmation.
