Jeju's only national healing hot spring, Oreve Hot Spring and Spa, presents a special wellness program to welcome the new year. From January 15 to 16, the 'New Year Retreat Yoga' will be held, led by actress Yoon Jin-seo.
This program is designed as a wellness ritual focused on physical and mental recovery, integrating hot spring healing, yoga practice, and breath meditation. Participants will have the opportunity to start the year by recharging their body and mind in Jeju's pristine nature.
Odaka Yoga, Inspired by the Flow of Water, Guided by Actress Yoon Jin-seo
At the heart of the program is Odaka Yoga. Inspired by the flow of water, this yoga emphasizes gentle movements and natural breathing to relieve physical tension. It focuses on being present in the moment rather than achieving perfection in movements.
The program is led by actress Yoon Jin-seo. She gained attention after winning the Best New Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in the film 《Oldboy》 (2003) and is currently active as an Odaka Yoga expert under the name 'Yogi SU'. Having practiced yoga for a long time, she embraces the philosophy of suggesting time for oneself in the flow rather than movements aimed at achievement.

Two-Day, Three-Session Program, Integrating Hot Spring Healing and Yoga Meditation
The program will take place in three sessions on January 15 at 3 PM and 7 PM, and on January 16 at 10 AM. Each session will last 90 minutes, with a limit of 20 participants per session to provide a dense training environment.
Participants will have access to the hot spring facilities and lounge at Oreve Hot Spring and Spa. They can relax in the national healing hot spring before and after yoga practice, restoring their physical and mental balance in the exclusive lounge. Registration is by prior reservation only.
The Healing Power of Oreve Hot Spring from a Wellness Perspective, Jeju's Only National Healing Hot Spring
Oreve Hot Spring and Spa is the only facility in Jeju that has received national healing hot spring approval. With a drilling depth of 2,003 meters, it boasts the deepest hot spring in the country, with an outflow temperature of 25.3 degrees Celsius, allowing for a pleasant hot spring experience.
Notably, the content of free carbon dioxide (FreeCO2) is remarkable. This hot spring water contains 321.35 mg of free carbon dioxide per liter, known to promote blood circulation, alleviate hypertension, treat heart diseases and arteriosclerosis, and aid in physical and mental recovery. Carbonated hot springs are studied to expand blood vessels through skin absorption, improve blood circulation, and balance the autonomic nervous system.
Covering an area of approximately 9,290㎡, Oreve Hot Spring consists of an aqua spa with indoor and outdoor pools and a jjimjil spa offering various sauna experiences. The indoor pool features a water exercise program with seven different aquatic activities, while the jjimjil spa includes a Finnish sauna, yellow clay sauna, halotherapy that circulates salt particles to aid bronchial health, and a snow room for a four-season snow experience.

Ocean View and Private Spa, A Wellness Space in Jeju's Nature
The outdoor spa at Oreve Hot Spring is famous for its infinity pool that seems to touch the sea of Seogwipo. Enjoying a hot spring bath while gazing at Jeju's blue sea offers both visual healing and physical recovery. An event spa with various bath additives such as wine, mugwort, aloe, citrus, grapes, strawberries, cherry blossoms, roses, chrysanthemums, pine, cypress, and jasmine is also available.
The suite spa, which offers a panoramic view of the Jeju sea through floor-to-ceiling glass, is a private spa lounge consisting of five individual rooms. Each room is equipped with an independently arranged jacuzzi and dry sauna, allowing for a uniquely private spa experience.
The Synergy of Hot Springs, Yoga, and Meditation... Providing an Integrated Wellness Experience
An official from Oreve Hot Spring stated, "This is an opportunity to relax the body in the hot springs and organize the mind through yoga and meditation, starting the new year calmly," adding, "It is planned as a wellness ritual that expands the 'experience of recovery' that Oreve aims for."
This program, combining the physical healing effects of hot springs, the alignment of the body through yoga, and the mental stability of meditation, is an integrated wellness approach to comprehensively manage the stress and fatigue of modern individuals. Especially since it takes place in the first month of the new year, it is evaluated as a suitable program for those looking to set goals for the year and recharge their body and mind.
Oreve Hot Spring and Spa is located at 152 Taepeong-ro, Seogwipo City, and operates year-round. Detailed information and reservations for the New Year Yoga Retreat can be found on the official website of Oreve Hot Spring.
