The Korean Meditation Society, a registered non-profit organisation, will hold its “2026 Summer Intensive Training Session” for two nights and three days at Sancheong Hanbang Family Hotel in Gyeongnam from **21 August to 23 August**.
This year’s training session theme is “Meditation for Togetherness: Connection and Communication”. Organisers expect it will become a time for participants to look back on themselves in nature and share healing and personal growth while experiencing meditation together with precious people such as family, friends and colleagues.
The society introduced the session as a “special journey in which we walk together along the path of meditation we would have walked alone, to understand one another and become connected”. In particular, it has been designed to help restore balance in body and mind through a variety of meditation programmes against the backdrop of the clear natural environment of Jirisan.

The programme is characterised by the fact that it accommodates everyone, from meditation beginners to long-time practitioners.
Participants can take part in a range of practice programmes, including ▲walking meditation ▲seated meditation ▲breathing meditation ▲breathing and mindfulness ▲tea meditation ▲sound meditation ▲Sama-ryangshim meditation ▲body scan ▲mindfulness yoga. It also offers opportunities to share one another’s practice experiences, with special lectures and meditation talks, including sessions titled “From relaxation to awakening”.
The biggest feature of this training session is the “Together Companion” special programme.
Members of the Korean Meditation Society can attend together with family, friends or colleagues, and separate discount benefits are provided to companion participants. The society said it has planned this programme in order to spread a culture in which meditation is practised together beyond individual practice.

The participation fee includes accommodation and meals, a training notebook and souvenirs, and participants can receive discount benefits when registering in advance. Based on regular membership rates, general registration is 480,000 won, while advance registration is 456,000 won, and separate discount benefits are also available for students and doctoral programme enrolees.
Applications can be submitted via advance registration until 31 July and via general registration until 13 August. Submission can be made through the QR code on the notice or via a Google application form.
A person from the Korean Meditation Society said, “This summer intensive training session will be a meaningful time to share the value of meditation not only in connecting with oneself, but also with family, friends and colleagues.” They added, “We hope you will experience deep rest and new insights in Sancheong, filled with lush green scenery”.
Meanwhile, the Korean Meditation Society’s 2026 summer intensive training session will run from 21 to 23 August at Sancheong Hanbang Family Hotel in Gyeongnam, and the programme may change in part depending on the society’s circumstances.
