Event Overview: November 7-9, Chubosamrim, Yeongwol, Gangwon-do
This 'Solitude Retreat' will take place from November 7 (Friday) to 9 (Sunday) in 2025 for 2 nights and 3 days. The location is Chubosamrim in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do, providing a meditation experience away from the noise of the city and daily life in the natural forest environment.
Chubosamrim is operated as a dedicated retreat space integrating accommodation, meals, and meditation spaces, allowing participants to fully focus on themselves in the forest. The event is conducted in a small group format to allow for personalised meditation experiences.

Organizer: Meditation expert Park Kyung-hae, connecting language and meditation
The retreat is planned and conducted by meditation expert Park Kyung-hae, CEO of Therapy Table, who holds a master's degree in meditation psychology from Dongguk University. Since beginning practice with Jeongto Society in 2013, he has worked as a singing bowl healer and meditation instructor, and is currently active as a corporate meditation lecturer and psychological counsellor.
Park Kyung-hae has been teaching Korean at universities and corporate entities since 2006, and has developed a unique meditation approach that integrates language and mind. His notable achievements include graduating from Jeongto Society Buddhist University and the scripture course, performing singing bowl at Narada Festival, conducting singing bowl meditation at 2023 Seoul International Buddhist Expo, and leading singing bowl sessions at Won Buddhism Mindfulness in 2025. Program Content: Exploring the Inner Self with Singing Bowls and Natural Sounds
The 'Solitude Retreat' centres around two signature meditation programs.
The first program, 'Inner Sound Meditation', utilises singing bowls for inner exploration. Participants will have time to face their inner self in silence through the vibrations and sounds of the singing bowls.
The second program, 'Sound Polaroid', is a meditation method that sensitively records and remembers the sounds of the forest. Participants will experience the process of fully listening to natural sounds such as the sound of the wind, rustling leaves, and birds, leaving that moment as an echo within the self.
Both programs aim for 'space instead of words, 'stillness instead of movement', allowing participants to experience solitude and silence at their own pace. The program is designed to allow voluntary participation without compulsion, and is conducted in a way that respects each individual's space while being together.
Operational Method: Small Group Integrated Retreat
This retreat is operated as a package integrating accommodation, meals, and meditation programs. Participants will stay in Chubosamrim for 2 nights and 3 days, completely escaping from daily life to focus on meditation.
Conducted in a small group format, participants are guaranteed sufficient space and time, and the program is structured to respect individual meditation rhythms. Meals are provided by the organisers, and free time is allocated between meditation programs for participants to walk in the forest or have time alone.
Under the concept 'together but not touching, participants will have a unique experience where they can feel the presence of others while fully focusing on their inner journey.
Planning Background: Part of the 'Going Home Project'
This 'Solitude Retreat' is the November program of the monthly meditation project 'Going Home' conducted by Therapy Table. The Going Home project is a series of 'forest retreats' that allow participants to experience the return to the inner self in nature.
Park Kyung-hae stated that he was able to meet the most natural self in the freedom of Chubosamrim. He expressed his intention for this program by saying 'for those experiencing autumn, solitude is the deepest conversation with oneself.' He wants to offer an experience where one can escape the noise of the city and the weight of relationships, and where the silence of the forest speaks and the inner music begins to flow again.
