A new kind of wellness festival takes place in the iconic space of a rooftop on the Han River.
Hosted by the lifestyle brand Bite & Rest, River Wellness Week 2026, MOVE WITH THE RIVER, offers three days of recovery time—removed from everyday life—along the heart of the city from Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17.
The event’s message is clear: time to reset yourself within the flow. Designed as a festival that lets you temporarily log out in a world that keeps you constantly connected, and then log back in to your whole self.
Meet Yourself Again—Above City Noise, Within the Han River’s Current
Being on the river changes not only your physical distance, but also the texture of your senses. The water rippling beneath your feet, the open sky overhead, and the city skyline framed within your view create a breathing rhythm unlike your everyday.
We city dwellers live amid nonstop connection. Notifications don’t stop, and your eyes can’t leave the screen. A rooftop on the Han River is an ideal environment for briefly breaking that connection. The recovery shaped by a short pause lingers even more vividly when you return to daily life.
A Han River Wellness Festival Where Space and Content Come Together
River Wellness Week 2026 goes beyond simply running classes. In a structure where space and content aren’t separated, the Han River’s current itself works as a medium for recovery.
Breath refined on the water, movement accompanied by river breeze, and the sound of water—rarely reached in the city—reimagine the texture of your senses. This isn’t a time to learn exercise or follow meditation; it’s a place where the environment itself functions as part of wellness.
Bite & Rest’s First Step Expanding into a Multi-Cultural Space on the Han River
This event is also a starting point for Bite & Rest as it expands into a multi-cultural space on the Han River. Instructors from various fields take part to shape the texture of the space together with their own content. Each class becomes a process of building the space’s branding and direction, going beyond a program.
Meet 12 Wellness Directors on the Han River
At River Wellness Week 2026, 12 instructors with distinct styles join—ranging from yoga and Pilates to dance, stretching, and art therapy. Together, they open the festival’s doors with content of their own that harmonizes with the Han River’s flow.
Hasu-bin Instructor (Summer) — Social Wellness Beyond Exercise, Healing Yoga Like an Oasis
One of the instructors who best shows the festival’s spirit is Hasu-bin Instructor (Summer). Beyond being someone who teaches exercise, she is known as a pioneer of social wellness who has planned “valuable social connections” that elevate the act of exercise itself by one step.
Summer’s footsteps don’t stay on the mat. During the Christmas season, she hosted a Pilates class where she donated all proceeds to abandoned dogs. With a puppy Pilates session alongside the dogs, she created a bridge between caring for pets and working out. She has continued to present value-centered programs, including a recovery yoga one-day class to soothe the tired body and mind of city residents, as well as offerings like the “Slow Dopamine Retreat” and “Plogging Campaign.” Through these efforts, she has broadened the usefulness of exercise beyond one individual’s body—to society and the environment.
The healing yoga guided by Summer is where breath meets yoga. It’s not a time to follow strong movements, but a time to set your inner self firmly by following your breath. Her class, which opens up the healing power that warms the heart the most—unfolding it on the mat—is often praised as an oasis-like moment that gently reveals the sadness and fatigue that were hidden behind a busy everyday life. A Quick Look at the 3-Day Class Schedule
The festival runs for three days on the Han River rooftop from Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17. A total of 17 classes unfold in chronological order: OPENING DAY to set the rhythm for the first day, RIVER SATURDAY as the main stage, and CLOSING DAY to wrap things up.
The time the festival suggests is about stepping one foot away from everyday life and looking back at your breath and senses. Moving with the flow, pausing within the flow—on the Han River, you can directly see what kind of clue for recovery this might leave for people living in the city.
