Samsung Welfare Foundation Hosts Special Workshop for Daycare Center Directors: 'Meditation and Mental Strength That Bring Life Changes', Special Workshop by Samsung Welfare Foundation

Learn Brain Science-Based Meditation and Mental Health Management

Professor Kim Joo-hwan from Yonsei University on 'Mental Strength'   with Actual Meditation Experience Program

The Samsung Welfare Foundation has prepared a special healing program for daycare center directors nationwide. The foundation announced that the '2025 National Daycare Center Director Special Lecture Culture and Insight (C&I) Day' will be held from May 29 to 30 at the Samsung Human Resources Development Center Meditation Center in Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk.

This event, themed 'Meditation and Mental Strength That Bring Life Changes', is designed to provide directors who are dedicated to early childhood education with a valuable time to reflect on themselves away from their daily routines. It is especially an opportunity to learn about brain science-based meditation and mental health management directly from experts.

The program features the participation of the country's top experts who provide in-depth insights. Professor Kim Joo-hwan from Yonsei University will introduce the meaning of mental resilience necessary for modern people and a brain science approach under the topic 'What is Mental Strength'. It is structured to allow participants to internalize through actual meditation practice rather than just theory.

Professor Chae Jeong-ho from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital is scheduled to give a lecture on the balance of body and mind for a happy life from a medical perspective, as well as the effects of meditation. He will share specific methods that can be applied in real life along with theoretical background.

Particularly eye-catching is the actual experience program. Under the guidance of Kim Ji-min, the representative of Osmoove and a somatic movement expert, a 'Movement Meditation' experience will be conducted, and there will also be a special program unique to the meditation center, including stargazing and foot bath garden experiences. The environment of the meditation center, harmonized with natural scenery, is expected to provide participants with complete relaxation and reflection time.

This event is expected to be a special opportunity for daycare center directors, who are exhausted from taking care of children all day, to reflect on themselves and recharge new energy. The Samsung Welfare Foundation hopes that through such programs, leaders in the childcare field will restore their mental and physical balance, ultimately leading to an improvement in the quality of childcare.
